Heimstaden is accommodating the needs of its clients by extending the date on which rent is due. The company is taking this measure particularly in response to the situation associated with the spread of COVID-19.
The change concerns about 25,000 households that had an agreed rent due date on the fifth day of the month for the current month. “Although this practice is common in other companies and other products, we decided to take a different approach. The current period is difficult for everyone and we want to meet the needs of our clients, even with regard to the usual payday date. We are postponing the due date to the twentieth day of the month,” explains Heimstaden spokeswoman Kateřina Piechowicz.
The due date extension will always be made with a new amendment to the lease agreement. “In the vast majority of cases, we should be able to do it by the end of the year,” adds Piechowicz.
